About Farm Yard Born
Farm Yard Born isn’t fashion.
It’s a mindset.
This brand was built for the people who grew up around livestock pens, muddy gateways, early mornings and late nights. The ones who know farming isn’t just a job — it’s a way of life.
From pig arcs to cattle sheds, lambing barns to workshops, the yard teaches you something different. Hard work. Resilience. Straight talking. Getting on with the job whether it’s raining sideways or the sun’s beating down.
Farm Yard Born is about that mentality.
Our designs are inspired by real agricultural life — the livestock, the buildings, the graft and the heritage that comes with it.

Why We Started Farm Yard Born
Farm Yard Born started from a simple idea.
There’s plenty of countryside clothing out there, but most of it feels polished or made for people visiting the countryside — not the ones actually living it.
The farm yard has its own culture.
The humour. The graft. The early mornings. The livestock.
Farm Yard Born was created to represent the people who grew up around it — farmers, stockmen, contractors and grafters who were raised in the yard and built by the work that comes with it.
Built for Real Work
Farm life isn’t gentle on clothing.
From feeding livestock in winter to fixing machinery in the workshop, the gear you wear needs to be comfortable, tough and dependable.
Farm Yard Born clothing is designed to be:
• Comfortable for everyday wear
• Strong enough for yard life
• Clean enough for the pub or the show
Whether you're doing the morning rounds, loading livestock or heading to the county show — it fits the job.
Farm Yard Born is built on hard work, resilience, and authenticity. We're not here to tell you a story—we're here to represent the life you live.
Meet the founder
Daniel Perkin
Founder & Creative Director
Farm Yard Born was founded by Dan Perkin, a livestock farmer based in Cornwall and the person behind Higher Chylasson Farm.
Raised around livestock, muddy yards and early mornings feeding stock, the farmyard has always been part of everyday life. From working with pigs and cattle to fixing kit in the workshop, the rhythm of the yard and the graft that comes with it shaped the idea behind the brand.
Farm Yard Born was created to represent the people who actually live and work in agriculture. Too much countryside clothing feels polished or designed for people visiting the countryside, rather than the farmers, stockmen, contractors and grafters who spend their lives in it.
The designs take inspiration from real agricultural life — livestock sheds, pig sties, cattle yards, lambing barns and workshops — the places where the work gets done.
Farm Yard Born is built around that world and the people who were born in the yard, raised in it, and still living it today.
Raised in the Yard
Farming isn’t just a job — it’s a way of life.
It’s early mornings before the sun comes up.
Long days in the yard.
Muddy boots, livestock sheds and the constant graft that comes with looking after animals and land.
That world shapes the people who grow up in it.
Farm Yard Born exists to represent that mentality — the farmers, stockmen, contractors and grafters who were raised around the yard and built by the work that comes with it.
Clothing inspired by real agricultural life.
